Position Description

VICE PRESIDENT OF LONG TERM CARE SERVICES & PROGRAMS

SUMMARY:
A key member of the Senior Executive team who is engaged in defining the overall business strategy and direction of the long term care and clinical programs within the organization. This position leads the overall clinical vision and provides clinical direction to the Long Term Care, MI Health Link and clinical program departments/division. Additionally, the position provides oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of program objectives in accordance with program contract guidelines. Responsibilities also include the development and implementation of innovative clinical programs that include collaboration with strategic business partners (managed care entities and/or health systems), and providers.

REPORTING: Directly to President and CEO

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

  • Lead and implement the clinical direction for the organization.
  • Keep abreast of emerging models in health care delivery; identify and define new and innovative strategies to achieve overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead staff and management team with the process of maintaining clinical program standards and guidelines.
  • Provide clinical guidance, support and education to the Provider Network and integrated care organizations.
  • Works collaboratively with and maintains positive relations with representatives of the Michigan Aging and Adult Services Agency and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and other funding organizations.

Monitors and evaluates overall program and staff performance and adherence to Michigan Administrative Code rules, Michigan Aging and Adult Services Agency and MDHHS.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Social Worker in the State of Michigan.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years program management and supervisory experience in health care, home health, medical social work, gerontology or other related field.
  • Knowledge of the aging, disability, and social service delivery system within the ten county service area.
